Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is proud to serve over 20,000 girl members and 5,000 adult members annually. The support of our local communities makes it possible for us to provide outstanding services and programs to our registered members. While the annual cost to become a registered member of Girl Scouts is $15, the actual cost to the council to provide one year of Girl Scouting to one girl is $308. This cost includes background checks and safety and leadership training for volunteers, maintenance of accessible camp properties and service centers, and subsidized fees to keep programs attainable and cost-effective for every family. Additionally, we provide membership assistance to over one-third of our membership and $30,000 in campership assistance annually.
Girl Scouts of Central Illinois offers several ways the community may support our organization to help girls realize their dreams and become tomorrow’s leaders. Friends of Girl Scouting may make a gift to one of our annual appeals, attend a special event, or contribute an item from our wish list.
