Our Camps

Get away with your friends and stay at one of Girl Scouts of Central Illinois’ camps.

Sleep under the stars in a tent or have a slumber party in a cabin. Come for summer camp or on the weekend with your troop. A variety of experiences awaits you at each camp. Read about what our different camp properties have to offer and see which one is right for your outing. We are proud to offer such beautiful natural places for girls to discover.


Camp Kiwanis
This 55-acre wooded site sits adjacent to Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve near Champaign and is bordered by the Sangamon River. It is perfect for first-time campers as it includes three winterized lodges.



Camp Peairs 
Enjoy 88 wooded acres situated on Lake Bloomington. This site is ideal for camping, events and cookouts.



GSCI’s newest property, located in Litchfield, is halfway between Springfield, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. The 70-acre property is built on Illinois’ wooded rolling hills.


Camp Tapawingo
Explore the forested, rolling hills of this 640-acre camp, located in Metamora. This site is ideal for camping, events and outdoor picnics.  



Camp Widjiwagan
Located on Lake Springfield, this camp is a 67-acre, wooded haven used for camping, events and trainings. Accommodations include three heated lodges, Conestoga wagons, and platform tents.


Camp Kiwanis, Camp Tapawingo and Camp Widjiwagan are accredited by the American Camping Association.
