Special Events

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois holds special events throughout the year in our 38 county jurisdiction to help raise additional funds to support our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character. We hope you will be able to join us for an upcoming event in your area. Our events will give you an opportunity to network with other friends of Girl Scouting in your area while supporting the council’s mission.

Diamonds and Desserts - Decatur - October 29, 2015

Girl Scouts will be hosting its annual Diamonds and Desserts event on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Country Club of Decatur from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We will honor a local female in the community for being a role model for young women, a leader in our community, and  a friend to everyone. The event will also feature hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts inspired by Girl Scout cookies!

By supporting this event, you will help Girl Scouts make a real difference in the lives of girls in your community. As a “tried and true” organization, Girl Scouts offers contemporary, relevant programs in numerous areas from financial management and career exploration to anti-bullying and arts and science. (And, yes, we still go camping!) Funds raised from this event will help Girl Scouts of Central Illinois continue to provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls in Christian, DeWitt, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, and Shelby counties.
