Girl Scouts of Central Illinois holds special events throughout the year in our 38 county jurisdiction to help raise additional funds to support our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character. We hope you will be able to join us for an upcoming event in your area. Our events will give you an opportunity to network with other friends of Girl Scouting in your area while supporting the council’s mission.

Women of Distinction 25th Anniversary - April 21, 2016 Champaign

Mark your calendars for our Women of Distinction silver celebration, honoring outstanding women leaders in our community. Across 25 years Girl Scouts of Central Illinois has recognized leaders for their contributions to our community and service as role models to scouts within Champaign, Douglas, Ford, Iroquois and Vermilion counties. Recognition will be given to women in the community that represent:

  • Creative Arts and Entertainment - Stacey Gross, Centennial High School
  • Business - Emmie Fisher, Entrepreneur 
  • Education - Kathy Kaler, University of Illinois, Division of Athletics

  • Lifetime Volunteerism - Myrtle Slater, retired

Diamonds & Desserts - Bloomington - April 28, 2016

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is excited to host its annual Diamonds event in Bloomington, Illinois, an evening which will honor the outstanding contributions of Bob and Julie Dobski Diamond honorees, for being a role model for young people, leaders in our community, and friends to everyone. The event will also feature hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts inspired by Girl Scout cookies!

Rocio Rivadeneyva will be honored as the 2016 Diamond Troop Leader Honoree for her dedication to Scouts and female leadership. Rocio leads two troops in the Bloomington community Rocío is also an Associate Professor at Illinois State University in the Department of Psychology and Latin American and Latino/a Studies.

Golf Fore Girls - September 19, 2016 - The Rail Golf Course, Springfield

Play with the Pros. Build girls' courage, confidence and character. Tee it up with the LPGA + Girl Scouts. All proceeds to benefit: Girl Scouts of Central Illinois

Your participation in our 3rd Annual Golf Fore Girls outing will help us give girls the chance to reach their highest potential and become the confident leaders that our community needs for the future. Help develop, encourage, and empower the next generation of female leaders today!

Fee: $150 per golfer

Fee includes:
