Q: Who can come and Build-A-Bear®?
A. Anyone! You don’t have to be a Girl Scout to make a new
friend! Please see our walk-in hours below.
Q: Is the Champaign location a full-size Build-A-Bear® Workshop?
A. The Champaign location is not a full-size Build-A-Bear
Workshop. We are a smaller, specialized workshop featuring Girl
Scout-themed bears and accessories, along with a selection of everyday
animals and adornments. Visit us at our Champaign Trefoil Boutique to
meet your new friend!
Q. How long does the Build-A-Bear® experience take?
A. Typically plan for 5-10 minutes per participant to complete
their furry friend. This does not include choosing clothes or
accessories.
Q: How much are your party packages, and what is included?
A. We have two fun party packages available to groups with a
minimum of five (5) participants and a maximum of 20 builders.
Awesome Adventure Package: $45 per guest
This package includes: One (1) bear or furry friend for each
guest (up to $26), One (1) Girl Scout Uniform or clothing item (up to
$10), a fun patch, Cub Condo, and activity.
The Ultimate Experience: $60 per guest
This package includes: One (1) bear or furry friend for each
guest (up to $26), One (1) Girl Scout Uniform or clothing item (up to
$10), One (1) footwear item (up to $8), a scent, a fun patch, a bear
carrier (up to $7), and activity.
Each package includes a beary special Girl Scout Heart Ceremony!
Q: Can I Build-A-Bear® without an appointment?
A. Yes! We will be happy to take walk-ins during the following times:
- Tuesdays 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. –
5:00 p.m.
- Thursdays 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Fridays
9:00 a.m. – noon
- 1st and 3rd Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 3:00
p.m.
Hours are subject to change.
Q: Can I reserve a time for my troop or group?
A: Yes! These are booked party events. Please complete our party event form. Once we receive your party
reservation, you will be contacted to finalize your party details. A
$50.00 deposit must be given to complete the reservation. A
non-refundable fee of $25 will be assessed if your party is cancelled.
Parties are a 2-hour experience.
Q: Do you have an event room available for additional space?
A: Yes! We have a meeting room to accommodate a limited number
of guests. This room would be available for the duration of your
2-hour event. An additional rental fee may apply if you wish to use
this space for additional time. If you plan to use this space longer
that the 2-hour event time, please contact us at buildabeargsci@girlscouts-gsci.org.
Q: Can I bring food, cake, or party supplies/decorations?
A: Yes, you may bring cake, food, party supplies, and
decorations if you have reserved the additional room we have
available. Some restrictions will apply. Please contact us at buildabeargsci@girlscouts-gsci.org with
any questions. *GSCI does not provide any decorations, food, or
party supplies (plates, utensils, cups, etc.). No smoking/vaping or
alcoholic beverages on property.
Q: Can Girl Scouts use Cookie Dough towards their Build-A-Bear® purchase?
A: Absolutely! We encourage it!
Q: Can we use Build-A-Bear® gift cards at the Champaign location?
A: Unfortunately, we are not authorized to accept Build-A-Bear
gift cards. However, we do sell council-issued gift cards available
for use at the Champaign Trefoil Boutique. (They make great gifts, too!)
Q: Can Girl Scouts of Central Illinois accept returns from other
Build-A-Bear® Workshop locations?
A: We cannot accept returns from other Build-A-Bear Workshop locations.
Q: Can I bring in a bear or furry friend for a repair to our Girl
Scouts of Central Illinois Build-A-Bear® Workshop?
A: Our associates can make minor repairs at our Champaign
Trefoil Boutique location; however, we are not able to accept bears
requiring extensive repairs.
GSCI Build-A-Bear® Refund Policy
We want to make sure each of our guests are “beary” happy with their
purchases. If for some reason you would like to return an item, we
will be happy to assist you according to the terms of our Satisfaction Bearantee.
A refund is available with the original proof of purchase from Girl
Scouts of Central Illinois Trefoil Boutique within 15 days of
purchase. If you do not have an original receipt, we will exchange or
provide merchandise credit for any returned product at our discretion.
A refund or credit will be issued for the purchase price, current list
price, or prorated price, depending on the item(s) returned.
