This event is a partnership with SKATE for Girls, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit that combines figure skating and STEM education to empower
girls through movement and hands-on learning. The program uses skating
as a tool to make math and science more engaging and accessible.
Catered toward Brownies, Girl Scouts will participate in a fun,
confidence-building ice skating session followed by interactive STEM
activities designed to reinforce key concepts like speed, distance,
and division - all in a supportive, girl-centered environment.
This is a drop-off event and will begin with classroom work at the
Champaign Service Center. If able, please provide transportation to
the ice rink around 4pm. We will be able to transport a limited number
of participants.
