Join the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) at Illinois Wesleyan to learn about physics both in a general sense and how it specifically applies to SPIE! During this time, girls will have the ability to earn their Space Exploration badge, get both a tour and demonstration of the physics work, and ask questions in a student panel! While sessions are geared towards the girls, parents are welcome to hang out and see IWU's beautiful campus! There will be a lunch hour in which girls are encouraged to bring their own lunches, but the school's cafeteria will also be open (meals not covered by GSCI). Participants will complete steps of their Space Science Researcher badge.
