Bronze. Silver. Gold. These represent the highest honors Girl Scouts
can earn as Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and
Ambassadors. All
three awards give girls the chance to do big things while working on
an issue that's captured
their interest in a big way. Whether
they want to plant a community garden at school and inspire others to
eat
healthy for the Bronze, advocate for animal rights for the
Silver, or build a career network that encourages girls
to
become scientists and engineers for the Gold, they will inspire others
(and themselves).
The first step for a girl interested in
earning her highest award is participating in an Award Chat. Award
Chats
will discuss the guidelines for earning the Bronze,
Silver, and Gold Awards. The chats will be hosted as a go-to
meeting, which will consist of a PowerPoint training that outlines the
guidelines, paperwork, and deadlines. It will
also include a
question-and-answer opportunity, so troop leaders, parents, and Girl
Scouts will feel more confident in their
journey towards these
awards. These virtual chats will be 30-minutes long. Please
note: Attending an awards
chat or scheduling a 1:1 chat is
required for all Girl Scouts to earn any of the Highest Awards.
Registration deadline is two days before the chat.
