This event is a partnership between Girl Scouts of Central Illinois
and SKATE for Girls, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that combines figure
skating and STEM education to empower girls through movement and
hands-on learning. The program uses skating as a tool to make math and
science more engaging and accessible. Girls will participate in a fun,
confidence-building ice skating session followed by interactive STEM
activities designed to reinforce key concepts like speed, distance,
and division - all in a supportive, girl-centered environment.
This is a drop-off event, however it will conclude with
classroom work at the Champaign Service Center. If able, we ask that
you provide transportation back to the office around 11 AM. We will
have a limited number of seats available in the council vehicle.
